Ugly Eagles in a rout

Prior to the game, the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles celebrated their seven seniors. However, in a 67-46 rout over the Northgate Broncos, it was a junior leading the way.
Hailey Pascoe - a 2015 prospect and the No. 33 recruit in the NorCalPreps 2015 Top 40 - scored 18 points and helped the Ugly Eagles overcome an early deficit.

After the Broncos jumped out to a 16-5 lead late in the first quarter, Pascoe scored 11 of her team's next 20 points, including a big three pointer that gave the Eagles a 25-22 lead.
Clayton Valley's comeback began when their defense turned up the pressure with a full-court press. The pressure and tempo caused several Northgate turnovers and Clayton Valley converted the easy transition baskets.
The Ugly Eagles' fury of points continued right into the second half as they opened the third quarter with a 10-0 run that buried the Broncos and essentially ended the game.
A couple minutes later, Pascoe - a Lehigh commit - buried her third three-pointer of the night, giving the Ugly Eagles a 21 point lead.
Pascoe stole the show with a healthy mix of three-pointers and short jumpers from the elbow, but it would have been nice to see the 5-foot-10 junior utilize her height advantage a bit more and play inside.
Pascoe isn't afraid to go inside and on a few occasions she showed that it is certainly a part of her game, but there is no question she is most comfortable in space and in the backcourt. Then again, when shots are falling as easy as they were fer her Friday night, there isn't much of a reason to try anything else.
Pascoe's second quarter explosion sparked the Ugly Eagles offense, but she was far from the only contributor.
Clayton Valley Charter senior Kayla Taylor and junior Sarah Williams were also impressive as they scored 19 and 16 points respectively.
Northgate senior Arielle Miraflores scored 11 points and was the only Bronco in double digits.
