The high school basketball season has arrived and coaches are preparing for their preseason tournament matchups. Take a moment to review the list of high school tournaments taking place throughout California and the West Coast.

December 1-3 at Folsom HS. Teams: DeMatha (Maryland), North Broward Prep (Florida), Reno, Colfax, Folsom, Lodi, Natomas, Sacramento, Sheldon, Tokay, and Woodcreek.

December 1-3 at Rio Americano High School in Sacramento. Participating teams include Foothill, Center, Casa Roble, Kennedy, Rio Americano, Monterey Trail, Roseville and Granite Bay.

December 1-3 at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa. Teams include: Montgomery, Sonoma, California, Monte Vista, Clayton, Valley, Oakland, Pittsburg, and Healdsburg.

December 2-5 at Healdsburg High School. Eight team field includes Healdsburg, Ukiah, Windsor, and Maria Carrillo among others.

December 3-5 at El Grove HS. Teams include Tokay, Sacramento, CK McClatchy, Will C. Wood, Nevada Union, Davis, Elk Grove, and Woodland.

December 3-5 at Casa Roble High School in Sacramento. Teams include Casa Roble, Highlands, El Dorado, Granite Bay, Rio Americano, Center, Woodcreek, and Folsom.

December 3-5 at El Dorado HS in Placerville with El Dorado, Anderson, Golden Sierra, Las Plumas, Mesa Verde, Milpitas, Rio Linda, and Union MIne.

December 3-5 at Washington High School in Fremont. Participants include Washington, Hayward, San Ramon, Casa Grande, American, Freedom, Liberty and

Leland.

December 3-5 at McKinleyville HS. Teams participating are: Arcata, Cardinal Newman, Fortuna, Foshay, Healdsburg, Manual Arts, McKinleyville, and South Fork.

December 7-10 at Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. Teams include Santa Cruz, Soquel, Harbor, Watsonville, San Lorenzo Valley, Scotts Valley, Salinas and Paso Robles.

December 8-10 at Gridley High School. The following teams are expected to participate: San Leandro, McClymonds, Newark Memorial, Menlo Atherton, Sacramento, Modesto Christian, Salesian, Encina, and Gridley.

December 8-10 at West Campus HS. Ripon, Inderkum, River City, Hiram Johnson, Burton, Woodland Christian, Foresthill, and West Campus.

January 16 at Valley HS. Teams include St. Mary's (Stockton), Elk Grove, Sheldon, Bella Vista, Franklin-Elk Grove, Capital Christian, Sacramento, Cordova, Kennedy-Sac, and Valley. All proceeds from the one-day showcase benefit Elk Grove Community Food Bank Services.

December 27-29 at Mercy HS in San Francisco. Participating teams are all affiliated with the Sisters of Mercy from Louisville (Kentucky), Baltimore (Maryland), Omaha (Nebraska), Merion Station (Pennsylvania), Cincinnati (Ohio), Bay View (Rhode Island), San Francisco and Burlingame.
