1. North Coast Section teams only.
2. If I haven’t seen a team play this year, I can’t rate them. No offense is intended towards any omitted team.
3. Teams unseen that may otherwise deserve consideration will be listed after each division.
Division I
1. Bishop O’Dowd
2. De La Salle
3. Berkeley
4. California
5. Newark Memorial
6. Saint Joseph
7. Deer Valley
8. San Leandro
9. Pittsburg
10. Mount Eden
NOTES: I just can’t see the BVAL or HAAL getting three teams invited to an eight-team dance. Big week for Berkeley: completing their game at Hercules Wednesday and playing at El Cerrito Friday. Losing both would probably cost them the three seed and there’s no way they’ll move up to #2. Two head-to-head losses to San Leandro puts Mount Eden into a must-win against O’Dowd Wednesday. Good luck.

Division II
1. Amador Valley
2. Casa Grande
3. Montgomery
4. Hayward
5. Rancho Cotate
6. Ygnacio Valley
7. Foothill
8. Ukiah
9. Tennyson
10. Clayton Valley
NOTES: How thin is it here this season? Go figure: A) Alameda (8-16 overall) qualifies if they win at Richmond Tuesday, B) Clayton Valley (11-13) must win at home Tuesday against Liberty to be eligible, C) Granada (8-16) qualifies only if they win home games against Monte Vista and Livermore, D) Tennyson is already in, but has lost four of their last six and has a date with Hayward Wednesday. Foothill goes to Amador on Tuesday as well. Rancho should be looking at a rubber match against Montgomery in the NBL finals.
Not seen (listed alphabetically): Eureka
Division III
1. El Cerrito
2. Acalanes
3. Windsor
4. Arcata
5. Dublin
6. Northgate
7. Las Lomas
8. Moreau Catholic
9. JFK (Richmond)
10. American
NOTES: A couple spoiler games in the DFAL Tuesday include Campolindo at Northgate and Las Lomas at Miramonte. Big games for BOTH teams come Friday with Dublin at Northgate and Las Lomas at Acalanes. Kennedy MUST win at least two BSAL tourney games just to qualify.
Not seen (listed alphabetically): Del Norte
Division IV
1. Sir Francis Drake
2. Hercules
3. Justin-Siena
4. Marin Catholic
5. Saint Mary’s
6. Salesian
7. Lower Lake
8. Tamalpais
9. Cardinal Newman
10. Healdsburg
NOTES: The MCAL tournament will really shake things up—I can’t see them getting three of the top four seeds when at least one of them won’t make the final. Hercules could make a strong case for the top seed if they beat Berkeley and wins the ACCAL outright.
Not seen (listed alphabetically): Kelseyville
Division V
1. Branson
2. Saint Vincent
3. S. F. University
4. Saint Elizabeth
5. Head-Royce
6. Saint Bernard
7. Lick-Wilmerding
8. Rincon Valley
9. Rio Lindo
10. College Prep
NOTES: Too many playoff permutations to hash out while Mendocino goes to Anderson Valley to decide the NCL III title; Mendo won’t qualify without a win.
Not seen (listed alphabetically): Hoopa Valley, Leggett Valley, South Fork
