Holland is a pace setting PG

Bishop O’Dowd 5-foot-5 point guard Jada Holland impressed in January, again in April and finally to end June at the Stockton Summer Classic with EBX 1.

Holland is dynamic with the ball as a dual threat. She has good handles and can beat her defenders with either hand. Holland possesses a good first step and is a long strider to quickly get to the rim. She has good vision and is a willing passer.

Defensively, she competes well, can move laterally with quick guards and plays bigger than her height with extended length. She has a slight build, but doesn’t get bullied much and is a solid rebounder.

An area to monitor is her outside shot in the mid-range and three point area. At her size, it is paramount to become an average to good shooter to force defenses to play her as a triple threat.

Holland’s development is key for the Dragons to stay among the top teams in Northern California and it is on the right track heading into July.
