Freeman to Sacramento St.

Freeman is a defensive minded point guard who opened a lot of eyes with his solid play at the adidas Big Time tournament in July while playing for Mark Olivier's Oakland Soldiers.
Mississippi St., Cal State Northridge, San Jose St., Sacramento, UC Riverside, Cal Poly SLO, Montana and Pacific all expressed interest in Freeman's services. He hosted Sacramento, Montana, Cal Poly and Riverside for in-home visits and he took official visits to Cal Poly and Sacramento.

When asked about his decision, Freeman said, "I liked the environment, coaches and players". [Coach Jenkins] has a winning attitude...it's close to home so my family can see me play."
Dashawn averaged 16 points, four rebounds, six assists and seven steals per game as a junior. He was a second team All-Norcal selection and was voted NorCal Preps' Division IV Player of the Year.
